This comprehensive 1 day programme is designed to train learners how to assist patients in moving in a hospital, nursing home or home care setting.

Up to date techniques are thought to ensure it is safe for the care workers and clients.

  • identify and respond appropriately to children’s developmental needs in the home and the early years setting

  • Be capable of assisting patient to sit up, standing and move

  • Aid patients that have fallen

  • Use sliding boards

  • Be capable of using hoist

  • Able to move patients for bed to chair or bed to tolley
