Staff in any industry should have an understanding of their ‘Duties’ under the various pieces of Health and Safety legislation. This programme has been designed to provide staff with an overview of their responsibilities in this regard.

This course provides participants with the information and training necessary to increase health and safety competency and awareness within their organization.

Who should attend: All employers, employees (including fixed-term and temporary employees) and self-employed people in their work place.

Aims

This course will help learners achieve the following:

  • Show an understanding of the concepts of safety and health
  • Be able to clearly recognise the factors that influence health, safety and welfare
  • Apply the principles and procedures of health and safety to the workplace
  • Thoroughly understand the importance of hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Promote safe working practices and procedures
  • Be familiar with latest core legislation in the area of safety, health and welfare.

Delivery
